BLACK MAGIC TALKING
BOARD Gift Craft Design on paper-hardboard 1940's This time it's jungle magic from Gift Craft with a witch doctor and his weapons. We're afraid to guess what he may be cooking up in those kettles. Maybe he's a cannibal. Why else would those letters be in the shape of human bones? |

MYSTIC
QUIZ Shackman Design on wood Yep, that's a witch with a broomstick on this classic Halloween talking board. Also notice the owl and the cat. All that's missing is the Devil. Perhaps the Mystic (upper left corner) qualifies. A black version of the Mystic Quiz was also available. This is one of the smallest talking boards measuring only 7 by 12 inches. |

PSYCHIC SEX
BOARD American Publishing Design on paper-hardboard 1979 Act out your fantasies with this shocking pink pre-AIDS era sex board. Be "kinky, straight, or bring a friend" depending where the planchette "points." If you are not "up" to it, never fear, you can land on "not tonight dear, I have a headache." |

MYSTIC
SOOTHSAYER WM. F. Drueke & Sons Design on hardboard 1944 The instructions for this black Mystic Soothsayer warn you not to confuse it by asking more than one question at a time. Good advice, it seems to us. For those of you who like to operate talking boards in a closet with a friend, a glow-in-the-dark "Midnight" Mystic Soothsayer was available. |

Read more about this odd metal Mystifying Oracle with the weird battery operated light-up planchette on our Electric Mystifying Oracle page. |
